I do not like Carol. I adore Preston, who I did not see anything cold about at all. I was kind of okay with Carol's poor self esteem, but thought it was odd that she "didn't want to make a big deal" about a very significant big deal their first time together. Preston had more sensitivity about it than she did! This girl has serious, justified baggage. I get that. She needed therapy and I'm glad she received it. But I do not like what she did to Preston when the orphanage secret was revealed. That was a heavy, layered, buried series of events in a timeframe that was in the distant past and Preston knew nothing about it until she showed it to him, accusing him of being complicit in the cover up. Preston was horrified and angry about the evils at the orphanage. Even though he immediately took action to get to the bottom of it, forfeiting his lifestyle, reputation, and more, Carol remained closed, angry, suspicious. And mean. She thought he was complicit. She even "partially" believed him when she learned about everything he was losing. But she asked, "Did you really give up your job for me?" Uh, NO. (NO, CAROL. Preston didn't give up his job only for you. He gave it up because he has integrity-- the very integrity he had before he knew you, when he met you, while he loved you, and was accused and dumped by you.) She still treated him with suspicion. I can't stand that kind of thing. So you got my dander up with this one, Allure.TV, LOL. Sorry about the screed. I'm still a devoted subscriber, always love to leave a comment when I can, and I hope you won't kick me off your channel for this one. 🙏 Thank you and xoxo from J in Anaheim. 🌹

I've read a hundred CEO romances. He's the first one who felt like an actual adult with a calendar.
