Finally an audiobook for grown women. No silly tropes, just slow-burn done right. Sleep timer is heaven.

She thought she had left William in the past, buried under achievements and miles of distance. But when she came back home and found him there—her brother's best friend, the man who once broke her heart—she realized: some wounds don't heal, they just wait. Forced to work together, they'll have to face what they never had the courage to say. Between loaded silences and forbidden touches, a truth emerges: maybe they never really let each other go.

Old-fashioned in the best way. Like a Sunday-night BBC drama, but with teeth.

I needed something for the long winter nights and this hit every spot. The build-up… I was holding my breath.

The moment he tells the other man to leave the room. Goosebumps. Pure goosebumps.

Where do I send the wine?

I sent the link to my best friend with no message. She replied an hour later with just 'OH.' That's all I needed.

I've listened to a hundred audiobooks. This narrator is in my top three. The pacing on the quiet moments… chef's kiss.

Took my time with this one. A chapter a night for a week. It was the best part of every day.
